DYNAMIC, ENGAGING AND CELEBRATORY, AFRIPOP! GIVES READERS A FRONT-ROW SEAT TO THE MODERN AFRICAN PERSPECTIVE.

Afripop! aims to inspire across borders by curating relevant cultural conversations around what affects Africans around the globe.

Building on the 'Global African Culture' positioning, I created a graphic rendition of a planet and developed the logo around it.

The rest of the site takes the circular theme forward, with usual rectangular thumbnails replaced by circles. This gives the site a distinct aesthetic.

All unnecessary elements are negated and the entire site is single-toned. Photographs take centre stage, allowing for a less distracted read, and differentiating the site from its crowded contemporaries.

I worked with Amit Vishe to develop this site for desktop and mobile.
